Women's Golf Heads North for A-Ga-Ming Tournament

Kewadin, Mich. — On Sunday, Sept. 6, the BGSU women's golf team will travel to Kewadin, Mich., for the A-Ga-Ming Invitational hosted by Central Michigan University. At the Sundance Course at the A-Ga-Ming resort in Kewadin, Mich., the tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
Rounds one and two will be played Sunday, followed by 18 holes on Monday, Sept. 7. It will be a 54 hole, play five, count four team score format.
This is the second tournament for the Falcons this season following last weekend's Roseann Schwartz Invitational, where BGSU finished third.
Last year, Bowling Green finished first in a record-setting victory at the A-Ga-Ming. BGSU broke the program record for the best 18-hole round, shooting 285 as a team. They also recorded the best score in a 54-hole tournament in program history, finishing with an overall score of 873.
This year they look to add to that momentum and defend their first-place title.
The Lineup
BGSU's lineup is led by junior Addison Kartusch, who finished a record 11 under par at last year's A-Ga-Ming. She is coming off a third-place finish at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational last week (Aug. 31), where she posted a two-round score of 3 over par. Junior Macie Elzinga is looking to stay strong for the Falcons after shooting 5 over par and tying for fourth individually last week.
Junior McKenzie Miller will fill in the third slot in the lineup after shooting 5 over par and tying with Elzinga for fourth last weekend. Copelin O'Kangley, a sophomore, joins the lineup alongside Elzinga for the first time this season after finishing 10 over par and tying for 13th place. Rounding out the Falcons this week is senior Sammie Dolce.
