Former Falcon Jaden Grant Inks Pro Contract With Toledo Walleye

Grant Becomes Latest Falcon To Sign Pro Deal In Northwest Ohio
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Former Bowling Green hockey forward Jaden Grant has signed a professional contract to stay in Northwest Ohio, joining the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL, the organization announced Wednesday (July 8). The contract marks the first pro deal of Grant's career with him joining a long list of former Falcons to play for the Walleye, including Sam Craggs, Brandon Hawkins and Brandon Kruse who were all part of the Walleye's Kelly Cup Playoffs roster this past season.
"Jaden has been an instrumental part of our program over the past four years and especially over the last two seasons," said head Bowling Green hockey coach Dennis Williams. "His impact on the ice, combined with his leadership and character away from the rink, made him an invaluable member of our team. He was an integral player for our program playing in all facets of the game and one of the best faceoff players I've ever had the privilege of coaching.
"What separated Jaden was his relentless drive to improve every single day and his commitment to doing whatever it took to help the team succeed. He was an unbelievable teammate who led by example and earned the respect of everyone in our locker room.
"We're incredibly excited to see Jaden continue his career with the Walleye and have no doubt he'll make an immediate impact. We look forward to watching him play during the 2026-27 season and wish him nothing but continued success in professional hockey."
Grant is coming off a four-year career with the Orange and Brown, appearing in 141 games during his tenure with the Falcons. During his time with Bowling Green, Grant totaled 47 points, consisting of 19 goals and 28 assists. He set a career-high for goals during his senior campaign in 2025-26 with eight. As for assists, his career-high came during the 2023-24 season with 11 assists. Grant added winning 57.4-percent of his faceoffs this past year to his stat line.
In addition to his scoring and faceoffs, Grant showcased his leadership abilities, earning the Assistant Captain "A" during the 2025-26 season. He was also named an ACHA All-American Scholar following the season. Grant's resume wraps up with six power play goals, four game-winning goals and two short-handed goals as a Falcon, including three power play goals, three game-winning goals and one short-handed goal this past season.
Grant is the third Falcon to ink a professional deal this season, joining Gustav Stjernberg who signed with the Colorado Avalanche and Jackson Niedermayer who signed with the Tulsa Oilers, both previously announced on March 13. Stjernberg finished the 2025-26 season with the Colorado Eagles of the AHL.
