Norris Served As Captain For The Falcons In 2025-26
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Former Bowling Green hockey defenseman Dalton Norris signed a professional contract, joining the ECHL's Cincinnati Cyclones for the upcoming 2026-27 season, an affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs. The contract marks the first pro deal of Norris' career.
"Dalton Norris was the anchor of our team and the definition of what it means to be a captain," said head Bowling Green hockey coach Dennis Williams. "He led by example every single day — not only on the ice, but in the classroom and in everything he did away from the rink. Dalton never asked anyone to do something he wasn't willing to do himself. He competed, sacrificed, and left everything he had on the ice every time he put that jersey on. As a coach, you couldn't ask for a better leader. I couldn't be happier or more proud of Dalton and the person he has become. He earned every bit of the success that comes his way, and I know he'll continue to make everyone around him better.
Norris was named captain of the BGSU hockey team for the 2025-26 season, after being an alternate captain for the 2024-25 campaign. As captain he led the Falcons to an 18-11-7 record. Norris accumulated 13 points in his senior season with one goal and 12 assists. Norris also had three or more blocked shots in four different games. He was named a 2025-26 ACHA All-American Scholar after the season.
He spent all four of his collegiate years at Bowling Green, Norris appeared in 122 games tallying 51 points with 10 goals and 41 assists. Across his four years as a Falcon he recorded 10 or more points in every season, with a career high of 15 assists in the 2024-25 season. In the 2023-24 season Norris netted a career high five goals on 51 shots.
