BGSU To Host Hockey Fan Fest Ahead Of Home Opener Against Michigan

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University athletic department will be hosting a Hockey Fan Fest to kickoff the home schedule on Saturday, Oct.3. Beginning at 2 p.m. and lasting until 6 p.m. next to Slater Family Ice Arena, the Fan Fest will feature a live band and multiple game activities for fans to enjoy before the game. Additionally, there will be a watch party following the Fan Fest of the BGSU-Michigan game for those that weren't able to secure tickets before the sellout. Limited tickets remain on SeatGeek, the Official Resale Partner of BGSU Athletics.

Fans attending will have the opportunity to partake in multiple activities during the Fan Fest, led by a Carnival Midway. The midway will feature 10 carnival style games ranging from a Cliff Climb to Putt Putt. Face painters and a balloon artist will be around as well to create fun for the whole family. Activities will also include a Video Game Truck for fans to come try their hand against friends as well as two 75-foot TV screens that will entertain the fans during the whole event. Rounding out the entertainment will be a live perfromance from local band AmpWagon.

Food and drinks will be available during the Fan Fest. BGSU Dining will be bringing out their food truck as well as Detroit Mini Donuts and a Shaved Ice Truck. Complimentary popcorn boxes will be available and a beer garden will be setup for the event.
