Bradley, Hobson Named BGSU Athletes Of The Week

Every week this athletic season, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Athletes of the Week, as selected by the external relations departments of Bowling Green athletics based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are football defensive end Myles Bradley and volleyball outside hitter Avery Hobson.

Male Athlete of The Week
Myles Bradley, a senior defensive end, put together a historic day for the Falcons on Saturday. With South Florida entering the day having allowed just one sack all season, Bradley tallied 4.5 sacks in the contest. The mark is believed to be a program record based on available records and is tied for seventh in MAC history. He added two forced fumbles in the first quarter, recovering one in the process. He rounded out his stat line with a pass breakup. A record-breaking day for Bradley earns him male athlete of the week.

Female Athlete of The Week
Avery Hobson, a senior from Fishers, Indiana, accumulated an impressive 32 kills on 77 attempts for a .286 attack percentage this week. Hobson also recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 16 digs in Thursday's four set win against Miami. In the volleyball team's sweep against Miami on Friday, Hobson tallied 19 kills, averaging over six kills per set. She has had a very strong start to the season recording double digit kills in nine matches so far this season.
