Former Falcon Quinn Emerson Inks Pro Contract With AHL’s Abbotsford Canucks

Emerson Lead BGSU With 33 Points During 2025-26 Campaign
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Former Bowling Green hockey forward Quinn Emerson has signed a professional contract to play at the next level, joining the Abbotsford Canucks, the AHL affiliate of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks. The contract marks the first pro deal of Emerson's career, adding him to the list of Falcons in professional hockey.
"Quinn had an outstanding season for Bowling Green and the growth he has shown over the last two years has been tremendous," said head Bowling Green hockey coach Dennis Williams. "He has developed into a great leader both on and off the ice and his commitment, attention to detail and dedication to his craft are second to none. You saw the results of that work this season with his explosive offensive production while having a huge impact on the PK and 5-on-6. His game truly evolved into a dependable 200-foot player. We couldn't be more proud of him and look forward to watching the next chapter of his career."
Emerson is coming off a 33-point season for the Falcons, leading the team with 10 goals and 23 assists. Appearing in all 36 of BGSU's games, Emerson finished the season +11. He added three power play goals and a game-winning goal, coming against Princeton on Nov. 29. Emerson added a four-point night with a goal and three assists in a 5-1 win over Ferris State on Jan. 10. His seasons earned him the CCHA Forward of the Week honor following two goals and two assists over the two-game series against Notre Dame.
As for his BGSU career, Emerson appeared in 136 games over his four-year career, logging 35 or more games in three of his four seasons. He totaled 65 points during that time, consisting of 24 goals and 41 assists. His marks as a senior in 2025-26 stood as his career-highs across the score sheet with 10 goals, 23 assists and 33 points. In the Orange and Brown, Emerson tallied five game-winning goals, three power play goals, all coming in 2025-26, and two short-handed goals, both coming during his freshman campaign in 2022-23. As for his five game-winners, he tallied at least one in each season with two as a junior in 2024-25.
