A team tri-captain for the second consecutive year ... played in 13 matches, starting them all at a central-defender spot ... had a pair of assists ... assists came in a three-match span, in wins against Detroit (Sept. 21) and Florida Atlantic (Oct. 2) ... played every minute of the first 13 matches, before suffering a pancreas injury in the Michigan State match on Oct. 19 ... finished that game, but then was forced to miss the final five contests of the season ... BGSU had a record of 7-4-2 in matches he played and 0-4-1 in the games he missed ... despite missing those five games, still finished eighth on the team in minutes played.
2010
A team tri-captain ... one of five players to start all 18 matches on the year ... played 1675 of BGSU's 1688-plus minutes, tying for the team lead ... had an assist in the Michigan State game (Oct. 20) ... hit the post with a second-half shot against the 10th-ranked Spartans, and teammate Dusko Topolic converted the rebound ... missed roughly three minutes of the Akron game (Sept. 11) due to an injury, and the Zips scored while he was off the pitch ... then, played every second until the MAC Tournament match vs. Western Michigan (Nov. 12) ... saw 80 minutes of action in the tourney contest.
2009
Started all 18 matches at a defender spot ... played a team-leading 1660 of the 1687 total minutes ... played every minute of 15 matches, including 13 in a row ... played 69 minutes of the Kentucky game on Sept. 6, then did not come off the pitch for even one second until the Nov. 4 contest vs. Detroit.
2008
Earned the Tony Corsiglia Memorial Award, given to the team’s top rookie ... played in 12 games, making nine starts ... was in the starting lineup for his first collegiate game, at nationally-ranked South Florida (Aug. 30) ... started at Ohio State (Oct. 1), then made four consecutive starts beginning with the Akron match (Oct. 11) ... also was in the starting lineup for the Michigan State (Oct. 29) and Detroit (Nov. 4) games and the MAC Tournament match vs. Northern Illinois (Nov. 13) ... wore uniform number 17 in his first season at BGSU.
HIGH SCHOOL
A three year letterman at Neuqua Valley ... the Wildcats won three of four Upstate Eight Conference Championships between 2005-08 while going 79-13-8 in that time span ... team recorded two 20-plus win seasons while a freshman (21-1-1) and a senior (24-2-4) ... in final high school season, team finished second in Illinois state playoffs ... chipped in six goals and eight assists with the Wildcats ... a four time defensive MVP (2004-06) as well as the Iron Man award recipient (2006) ... as a senior was recognized as an all-city, all-conference, all-area and honorable mention all-state selection ... was the 2007 captain under head coach Jans Johns ... also eared a pair of letters for tennis ... served as vice president of the junior class at NVHS.
