Finished his career with 21 shutouts, and became the first Falcon 'keeper with at least six shutouts in three-straight seasons since the late 1990s ... had career totals of 20 wins and 218 saves, along with a goals-against average of 0.98 and a saves percentage of .804 ... after playing only 29-plus minutes as a freshman, started 13 of BG's 18 games in his sophomore campaign, and played every second of all 39 matches over his final two seasons.

Was named to the MAC's All-Tournament Team ... earned honorable mention on the Academic All-MAC Team ... and, was accorded all-conference second-team honors by College Sports Madness ... one of four Falcons to start all 20 matches on the year ... played every second of every match, logging 1,874:16 between the posts, and had an even 100 saves, a GAA of 1.10, a saves pct. of .813 and seven complete-match shutouts ... in MAC play, his GAA was just 0.83, and his saves pct. was .854, with 35 saves and six goals allowed in MAC action ... his overall saves total (100) was the highest by a BGSU goalkeeper since 2003, and his seven shutouts were the most of any Falcon 'keeper since the '01 season (until he had eight in 2013) ... he ranked eighth in the nation in total saves, and was 25th in the country in saves per game (5.0), 33rd in saves pct. and 80th in NCAA Division I in GAA ... had a career-long shutout streak of 327:48, as he posted three-straight clean sheets and did not give up a goal between Oct. 16-30 ... made seven saves in the season opener, a shutout win over Saint Bonaventure at Cochrane Field (Aug. 25) ... was named the MAC Player of the Week on Aug. 28, for his performance in that SBU contest ... the next weekend, made four stops while keeping Marshall off the scoreboard for 110 minutes in a double-overtime scoreless draw (Sept. 1) ... had five saves in a shutout win at Cleveland State (Sept. 14) ... made eight stops in the Falcons' regular-season match vs. Akron, ranked No. 7/10 in the nation at the time (Sept. 22) ... made four saves, all in the second half, in a complete-game shutout win over Buffalo (Oct. 13) ... had eight saves in another MAC shutout, BG's double-OT nil-nil draw at Northern Illinois (Oct. 20) ... his five saves at Michigan (Oct. 23) included a diving stop of a penalty kick with under four minutes to go, as he posted a shutout vs. the Wolverines for the second-straight season ... three nights later, had his third consecutive shutout, with five more saves in a win at Florida Atlantic (Oct. 26) ... all of his saves against both U-M and FAU came in the second half ... the shutouts of NIU, U-M and FAU were part of that career-long shutout streak ... had six saves in the final match of the season, a 2-0 loss to No. 1 Akron in the semifinal round of the MAC Tournament (Nov. 9).

Named to the Academic All-MAC Team ... played in 13 matches, starting them all ... had a record of 6-4-1, with six complete-match shutouts, 43 saves and a GAA of 1.08 ... had a save pct. of .768 ... had five shutouts in his first seven starts, both of the season and of his career ... blanked then-#9 Michigan in his first collegiate start (Aug. 26), making five saves ... had a shutout in his second start as well, with three stops vs. IPFW (Aug. 31) ... other shutout victims included Duquesne (Sept. 9), IUPUI (Sept. 30), Florida Atlantic (Oct. 2) and Michigan State (Oct. 19) ... made a season-high seven saves vs. Duquesne, stopping a DU penalty kick in the second half ... named to the all-tournament team that weekend, at the Pitt/Nike Invitational ... had five stops vs. MSU and Cleveland State (Sept. 3) as well as vs. U-M ... worked nearly 274 minutes (273:54, to be exact) of shutout ball to begin his collegiate career, before allowing a pair of goals just over two minutes apart vs. CSU ... played 12:30 of scoreless soccer at Ohio State (Oct. 5) before being forced to leave the match due to injury ... started the Hartwick match (Oct. 22) and worked a scoreless first half ... played a total of 1080:55 on the year ... was ranked in the nation's top 100 in both GAA (70th) and save pct. (83rd).
2010
Played in one match in his initial season ... made his collegiate debut in the match at Michigan (Oct. 27) ... played the final 29:16 of the contest, and did not face a shot on goal.
HIGH SCHOOL
A two-year letterwinner at Naperville North H.S. ('10) ... earned all-state first-team honors from multiple sources in his senior year, including Chicago Tribune, Sun Times and ESPN Rise ... helped the Huskies to DuPage Valley Conference championships and regional titles in both 2008 and 2009 ... coached by BGSU men's soccer alumnus Jim Konrad ... Huskies had a 16-3-4 record in his senior year ... put together a streak of eight consecutive shutouts during his senior year, and had a goals-against average of just 0.52 ... finished with a total of 14 shutouts as a senior ... team went a combined 15-1 in conference play in '08 and '09 ... three-year member of the Honor Roll.

Michael Thomas Wiest was born on March 6, 1992, in Naperville, Ill. ... physical education teacher education major at BGSU, who graduated with a cumulative GPA of 3.577 ... son of Dennis and Colleen Wiest ... the second of four children ... has an older sister and two younger brothers ... played club ball for the Galaxy Soccer Club, where one of his coaches was BGSU men's soccer alum Brett Strang ... helped that team to a state cup semifinal appearance in 2009 after trips to the quarterfinals in each of the prior two seasons.
