2010-11 (freshman): Played in all 41 games in his first season…finished tied for third on the team in overall scoring with a 5-11-16 scoring line…tallied the most assists among the entire freshman class and was second on the team in that category…tallied his first career point with an assist against Michigan (Oct. 9) in just his second game…scored his first goal at Alaska (Oct. 30)…posted another goal in his next game against Notre Dame (Nov. 5) with a game-winning, power-play goal at the Joyce Center…posted points in three straight games from Nov. 12 to Nov. 19, including his first multi-point contest when he put up four assists with two coming against Miami (Nov. 19)…between Oct. 30 and Nov. 26 he scored three goals and had five assists with two multi-point games…had a goal and an assist versus Alabama-Huntsville (Nov. 26) in a tournament win at the RPI Holiday Tournament…scored the game-tying goal on the power play against Northern Michigan (Feb. 18) at home…committed only five penalties for 10 PIM…blocked 12 shots…was tied for second on the team with six points on the power play (2-4-6)…shared the team lead in game-winning goals (2)…earned co-Rookie of the Year award with Brett Mohler.
Prior to BGSU: Spent the 2009-10 season with the Omaha Lancers (USHL) where he played in 59 contests, scoring eight goals and 11 assists (19 points)…in eight post-season games with the Lancers he scored one goal and had three assists…helped his team to a 42-12-0-6 overall record under Bliss Littler…played three years of varsity hockey at Trenton High School (2006-2009)…part of two state champion teams (2008, 2009)…was named all-state for hockey in 2007-08 and 2008-09…named Michigan High School Mr. Hockey in 2009 -- the fourth Mr. Hockey from Trenton, Mich. -- was named captain of the 2008-09 state championship team…had a career high record of 63-14-7 overall record, including a 25-1-4 junior season under head coach Mike Turner…over three years with the Trenton Trojans he held a line of 63-94--154.
