DEI Task Force:
- The BGSU Athletics Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Task Force (DEI) consists of coaches, staff, and student-athletes within athletics, as well as numerous University Partners from various units across campus. Athletics believes that diversity & inclusion, with respect to race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identities and expressions, and disabilities, is critical to creating an atmosphere that enriches experiences and improves the human condition. The purpose of this Task Force is to provide leadership and guidance in the Department’s efforts to address issues identified with input from other Department members or groups and to implement action plans and metrics that progress the Department’s vision to create a community and culture that provides a welcoming and enriching environment for all.Â
We Are One Team:
- WE ARE ONE TEAM (WA1T) uses sport as a forum to create a dialogue and to promote friendship between stereotyped groups on campus, including but not limited to BGSU Athletics, minority groups, faculty and administration, and the general student body. Through the power of sport, WE ARE ONE TEAM (WA1T) aims to strengthen the sense of community at BGSU by creating awareness of social injustice and by facilitating an environment that values inclusion, diversity, and acceptance.Â
