We did a horrible job managing Harold Fannin all night. He was obviously their best player, and we let him come in and go for eight [receptions] for 145 [yards].– Mike Elko, Texas A&M head coach in Sept. 21 postgame press conference

"The Daily Harold"
It Is A Small Club And Fannin Is Part Of It
• Harold Fannin Jr. has 2,396 receiving yards, 17 receiving touchdowns, and five rushing touchdowns. He is one of only four FBS tight ends, in records dating back to 1956, to accumulate 1,800+ receiving yards, 11+ receiving touchdowns, and 5+ rushing touchdowns over a career.
• He joins two-time John Mackey Award winner Brock Bowers (Georgia), Jaylen Samuels (NC State), and Brant Kuithe (Utah).
Putting Up Numbers Against The Elite
• Over back-to-back games against ranked opponents Penn State (then-No. 8) and Texas A&M (then-No. 25), Fannin has posted a combined 19 receptions for 282 yards and two touchdowns, as BGSU lost both games by a combined 13 points.
• Fannin's individual output against PSU and A&M are the most receiving yards yielded this season by both teams this year to a single player.
• Fannin's 65-yard touchdown reception at Texas A&M at the time was the longest offfensive touchdown the Aggies had given up in two years.
He Blocks Too
• Harold Fannin lines up all over the field. You can see him also in the backfield like a FB, and out as an X and Y receiver in addition to being a tight end and he greatly helps in the running game.
• Fannin has the best run-blocking grade per PFF (73.2) of the nation's tight ends with at least 75 blocking plays and 40 or more passing targets. He has the best run-blocking grade among the eight semifinalists for the John Mackey Award.

When you get the ball in his hands [Fannin], his freakishness takes over. He is an unbelievable player. He does it the right way. He runs routes the right way. He knows how to get open. Teams have tried to double team, and he is getting open with double teams. He is a nightmare if I was a defensive coordinator.Connor Bazelak, BGSU quarterback and 2020 SEC Offensive Rookie of the Year (at Missouri)
