2008: has raised his batting average over 30 points in each of his three seasons hitting .331 as a junior...made 39 starts at first base and four as the DH...was fourth in the MAC in runs (1.07 rpg), fifth in home runs (.28 hrpg) and RBI (1.02 rbipg), and seventh in slugging percentage (.622)...led the team in slugging percentage, home run, sacrifice flies (4) and game-winning RBI (5)...second on the team in runs, walks (27) and RBI and third in extra-base hits (24)...his 13 home runs rank tied for 10th on the school single-season list...had 17 multi-hit games with a pair of career-best four-hit contests (4/11 and 4/12 at Ball State)...had 12 multi-RBI games with six RBI at Ball State (4/11), equalling his career best...had two home runs in the Ball State game (4/11) as well as against Fairfield (3/6) and Xavier (5/13)...was the MAC East Division Offensive Player of the Week (April 7-13) after going nine-for-13 (.692) with nine RBI in the three-game series at Ball State (10-17 for the week)...had walk-off homers in back-to-back games (5/10 vs. Buffalo - 5/13 vs. Xavier)...had two five-game hitting streaks, the best of his career...is an excellent fielding first baseman...was second in the MAC (among players with at least 200 chances) with a .991 fielding percentage (424 putouts, 34 assists, four errors)...has a career .987 fielding percentage...made nine appearances on the mound, only one in MAC play, starting twice covering 21.2 innings...is a career .296 hitter in MAC play with a .562 slugging percentage (11 doubles, two triples, 13 home runs)...needs three home runs and 45 RBI to move into the BG[apos]s career top 10 in those categories.
2007: Played in 43 games, including 32 starts splitting time between left field (5), first base (21) and DH (6)...made nine appearances and one start on the mound...led the team with seven home runs...batted .296, fifth on the team, while his .557 slugging percentage was second on the team...had 10 multi-hit games and six multi-RBI contests...had three hits against Eastern Michigan (3/24 and 3/25) and at Miami (4/28), included a home run and a triple...had three RBI against Middle Tennessee State (2/25), a three-run homer, IPFW (4/3) and at Miami (4/28)...went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored against Eastern Michigan (3/24)...followed that up with three more hits the next day against EMU...did not allow a run in back-to-back one inning relief appearances versus Northern Iowa (3/10) and Findlay (3/14).
2006: Played in 31 games, making 23 starts (15 as the DH - seven at first base - one in left field)...also made 17 pitching appearances (nine starts)...his 3.42 ERA, 55.1 IP and .265 opponent average all ranked second on the team...had four multi-hit games and three multi-RBI contests...in the last game of the year, Hangbers drove in six runs against Ohio with a grand slam and a two-run double...blasted a game-winning home run in the bottom of the eighth against Western Michigan (4/2)...pitched 7.0 innings of shutout baseball, allowing just four hits while striking out four, against Akron (4/22)...combined with Tyler Saneholtz for a complete game one-hitter at Murray State (2/25).
2005: Redshirted at Louisville.
HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner for Edgewood High School...named first-team All-Mid-Miami League following junior and senior seasons...also starred on the Cougars hoops squad, nabbing the player of the year award his senior season.
