As a member of Coach Simon's staff in 2023-24, Korta aided in orchestrating one of the quickest turnarounds in program history. In the staff's first season, the Falcons tallied 20 wins for just the 10th time in the program's MAC era, becoming one of 10 teams in the nation to go from 20 losses in 2022-23 to 20 wins in 2023-24. The season saw Bowling Green advance to the MAC Semifinals and make an appearance in the CIT. Additionally, Marcus Hill was named All-MAC First Team and Rashaun Agee earned All-MAC Second Team. Hill earned four MAC Player of the Week recognitions and Agee was awarded once.
Korta joined the Bowling Green men's basketball staff as director of player personnel in July of 2021. He was retained on staff by new head coach Todd Simon, taking on the role of director of player development ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Prior to arriving in Bowling Green, Korta served as a graduate assistant at Florida State for head coach Leonard Hamilton during the 2020-21 campaign. FSU went 18-7 and advanced to the Sweet 16 at the 2021 NCAA Tournament. While at Florida State, among other duties, Korta aided in player development and assisted with the construction of scouting reports and film study.
Prior to arriving in Florida, Korta earned his Bachelor's degree in organizational leadership from Cleveland State University in 2020. Korta, a student manager on the basketball staff all four years, was named head student manager at CSU in his final season with the Vikings in 2019-20.
