An Overview...
A Falcon co-captain.
Has excellent jumping ability as well as the ability to drive to the basket or take the three-point shot.
Is one of the best all-around players on the team.
Has improved consistently throughout his career.
Broke his left wrist early in the summer, but has fully recovered for the season.
Led LaSalle High School to the Ohio Division I State Championship his senior year and was named the outstanding player in the Division I tournament.
Named the Player of the Year in Cincinnati by the Cincinnati Post and the Cincinnati Enquirer.
The son of Dave and Terri Esterkamp.
An interpersonal communications major.
Numbers were down from his sophomore year because of improved depth on the team.
Averaged 11 points and shot over 65% from the floor in the last four games.
Played with a badly sprained left ankle and a cut lip which required 10 stitches the last five weeks of the season.
Had 11 games in which he scored in double figures.
Shot just under 50% from the field for his two-point field goals.
Fourth on the team in scoring, rebounding, and minutes, second in assists and third in steals.
Logged the most minutes on the team starting all but one game.
Scored in double digits in 17 games with a high of 28 against Maine, one of three games with 20 or more.
Second on team in rebounding and scoring.
Averaged 11.8 free throw attempts in the first six games of the season and had the most attempts on the team for the season.
Had a three-point field goal in 18 games.
Named to the all-tournament team in the Southwest Missouri tournament.
Played less than 10 minutes in only three of the final 30 contests.
Started five games, four of those while starter Jay Larranaga was sidelined with mononucleosis.
Averaged 16 minutes per contest off of the bench.
Had a big role in BG[apos]s win over Purdue with two points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
