High School Played his prep basketball at Andrean High School in Merrillville, Ind., the same school attended by head coach Dan Dakich...a 1998 graduate of Andrean High School helped the 59ers to two of the best three seasons in school history during his career... earned three letters, starting for most of those three seasons, for Coach Clint Swan... averaged 16.4 points and 8.2 rebounds as a senior helping Andrean to a 22-3 record earning a ranking as high as #2 in the Class 3A state poll... team captured the sectional and regional titles before losing in the semi states (final eight)... it was the first regional title in 17 years for the program... also averaged 3.4 blocks... earned a spot on the Gary Post-Tribune all-area team... also was invited to the top 40 workouts of the Indiana all-star game... as a junior he averaged 15 points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots as the 59ers posted a 13-10 record... they were 19-2 his sophomore year and ranked #2 in the state as he averaged three points and four rebounds earning a starting assignment midway through the season.
