In March 2024, Noah Barth joined the Bowling Green men’s and women’s golf programs as an assistant coach.
Under his tenure for the Falcons, the women’s program recorded new team and individual records. In his first season as assistant coach, Barth helped coach the women’s golf team to two wins in the Battle of I-75 and the Bobby Nichols Invitational. Additionally, the team had four top-three finishes in the Bobby Nichols Invitational, Loyola Invitational, Shirley Spork Invitational and UTRGV invitational. In the 2024 season, under his guidance the Orange and Brown recorded a new single season team scoring average at 304 and a new 18-hole scoring record (287), 36-hole scoring record (579) and 54- hole scoring record (875).
Barth helped coach Ava O’Sullivan to a historical season breaking school records for the single-season lowest scoring average at 75.03 and records in the 18-hole (67 (-5)), 36-hole (137(-7)) and 54-hole scoring records (208 (-8)). O’Sullivan finished the 2024 season with an individual win in the Shirley Spork Invitational and runner-up in the Loyola Invitational. Moreover, he coached Sammie Dolce to record-breaking freshman campaign breaking the single season freshman lowest scoring average at 75.59, breaking a record set by current head coach Erin Fahey in 2015-2016.
In the 2024 season, Barth had multiple student-athletes claim individual accolades, including All-MAC selections and Scholar Team selections. He helped six Bowling Green golfers make the WCGA All-America Scholar Team, 11 named to the Academic All-Mac teams, Ava O’Sullivan gain second team All-MAC recognition and Kayla Davis named 2024 MAC Sportswomen of the Year. The team also garnered WGCA All-Scholar Team Accolades placing ninth in the nation with a 3.864 collective GPA.
On the men's side in 2024, Barth helped the Falcons claim top five finishes in the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational at third and the Tom Tontiominia Invitational coming in second. Additionally, at the conclusion of the season six of his men's golfers were named to Academic-All MAC selections.
Before arriving in Bowling Green, Barth was at Tiffin University for four years from 2021-2023, serving in a variety of roles. In the 2022-2023 season, he served as an assistant golf coach for the Dragons, mainly working with student-athletes success during competition and aiding with recruiting and creation of practice plans. Additionally, during his tenure with Tiffin University, he served as a student tutor and a student-athletic trainer.
The Helsingborg, Sweden native, worked at Rya Golf AB as a groundskeeper and volunteer golf coach for four years before moving to the United States. Barth also served as an assistant golf professional at Tributary and Mohawk Golf courses.
Barth is a two-time graduate of Tiffin University with a master’s in finance and a Bachelor of Science in exercise science.
In his time at Tiffin University, Barth was a student-athlete on the men’s golf team from 2017-2022. He won the 2018 G-MAC Fall Invite and helped the Dragons qualify for 2018 Regionals, Nationals, and capture the 2018 Kyle Ryman Memorial title. During his playing career, he was a Great Midwest Athletic Conference Champion, and named Male student-athlete of the year and freshman of the year.
Barth has dual-fluency in both Swedish and English and has three different citizenships.
