Spencer Schmitz is in his first season as volunteer assistant coach for Scott Paluch[apos]s staff. Schmitz was a member of the BGSU baseball team from 2000-04 and helped run video and prepared scouting reports for the Bowling Green hockey program last season. Prior to joining the BGSU hockey program, Schmitz served as an assistant to the Bowling Green High School hockey team in 2003-04. In his lone season with the Bobcats he helped coach the team to a 31-2 record. Schmitz, 24, is currently pursuing a master[apos]s degree in Sports Administration.
