Bowling Green men’s soccer has announced the addition of former Olympique Marseille and Portugal u-18 national team center-back Yoann Araujo.
Araujo is a right-footed defender whose natural position is center-back, but can also can also right-back and defensive midfield.
He spent time with Marseille’s u-18s along with their ‘B’ team. Araujo then joined Ypsonas FC in the Cypriot Second Division and then joined Cultural Leonesa in the Primera Federación, the third tier of Spanish football on a free transfer.
Araujo joins the Falcons from AS Saint-Ouen-L’Aumône in the Championnat National 2, the fourth division in France.
