GETTING TO KNOW MACY SPIELMAN (JULY 2019)

2020-21
- Played in 13 games off the bench, and averaged 1.5 ppg and 0.8 rpg
- Averaged 5.5 ppg in the Falcons' WNIT games
- Made her BGSU debut in the Falcons' win at Northern Kentucky
- Saw the first extended action of her career at Purdue, and made the most of it
- Played just over 14 minutes vs. the Boilers, and had three points, two rebounds, three assists and a steal
- Hit her only shot, a long three-point try, at Purdue, and led the Falcons with a plus/minus rating of +11
- Played seven minutes in the win at Morehead State, with an offensive rebound and a blocked shot
- Saw five minutes of action at Ball State, and had three rebounds, two assists and a steal in BG's blowout win
- Was 2-for-2 from the free-throw line in the win at Western Michigan
- Scored two points at Buffalo, playing just over six minutes and hitting her only shot from the field
- Played 10 minutes at Miami, and had two points, two assists and a steal
- Pulled down a rebound in the home win vs. WMU, and played three minutes of the win over Toledo at the Stroh three days later
- Saw action in the home win over Kent State as well
- Had the finest game of her young career in BGSU's come-from-behind win over Dayton in the WNIT
- Played just under 14 minutes vs. the Flyers, and had nine points, three rebounds and a plus/minus rating of +13 as the Falcons rallied from 18 points down to win
- Two days later, had two points vs. Drake in the season's final game
2019-20
- Missed the entire season due to injury
PRIOR TO BGSU
- Set the school records for both points and assists at Upper Arlington H.S., where she played for coach Chris Savage
- Had career totals of 1,622 points and 348 assists
- Was named to the All-Ohio Second Team as a senior after earning all-state third-team honors in her junior year
- An All-Ohio Capital Conference First-Team selection in each of her four years with the Golden Bears
- Averaged 20.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.1 steals per game as a senior
- Golden Bears went 74-28 in her four seasons
- Named to the All-Central District Team on multiple occasions, and was named one of the top-10 players in all divisions by the District 10 Coaches Association in each season

- Macy Lynn Spielman was born on Jan. 8, 2001, in Columbus, Ohio
- A human development and family studies major at BGSU
- Has a 3.82 cumulative GPA through the Spring 2020 semester
- Daughter of Chris and Stefanie Spielman (parents) and Carrie Spielman (stepmother)
- Her five siblings include an older sister, Maddie, an older brother, Noah; a younger sister, Audrey, and stepsisters Kendra and Gina
- Brother played football at Wheaton Coll.
- Father played football at Ohio State and in the NFL for the Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns, and worked as an analyst for Fox NFL before being hired by the Lions in December of 2020 as Special Assistant to Chairman and President & CEO
- Played AAU ball for OHIO Future
- Favorite athlete is LeBron James
- Lists her mother as her biggest influence
