Ryan Hite joined Bowling Green State University as Assistant Athletic Director for Development in November of 2019. He also assumed the role of Falcon Club Executive Director in July 2021. Hite assists with fundraising priorities for the BGSU Athletic Department, including capital projects, scholarship endowment, annual giving and planned giving. As Executive Director, he oversees the Falcon Club Scholarship and Success Fund focusing upon fundraising for Student-Athlete scholarship support. Hite also works with the Women’s Basketball, Men’s Golf, Women’s Golf, Ice Hockey, and Softball programs in fundraising projects for each program. Hite is a member of the BGSU Athletics Senior Staff.Â

Prior to BGSU, Hite was a Major Gift Development Officer at his alma mater, Denison University. During his tenure, assisted in the largest comprehensive fundraising initiative in the school’s history, the Unlocking Potential campaign. Ryan served as a liaison between the Office of Advancement and the Athletic Department, assisting with fundraising and alumni engagement strategies. Ryan worked with the Annual Fund to develop a comprehensive athletic solicitation strategy, including individual sport crowdfunding sites.Â

Hite spent six years working in the Van Buren Local School District, three as an Assistant Football Coach and three in the role of Athletic Director. He oversaw all aspects of the High School and Middle School athletic programs for 16 sports and 33 teams. Hite administered an athletic staff of over 50 coaches and staff. Ryan has also tallied an additional five years coaching at Gallaudet University (Football/Track), Ohio Northern University, North Baltimore High School, Findlay High Schools. Hite also worked as a Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual in Findlay, Ohio.Â

Ryan, a Findlay, Ohio native, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Religion from Denison University. As a Student-Athlete, he was a 7-time letterwinner in Football and Baseball for the Big Red. Hite went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Athletic Administration from Ohio University in 2017. Ryan and his wife, Katie, live in Bowling Green with their son, Elijah and dog, Buddy.Â
