Emily Robbins enters her first season on the Bowling Green State University women’s basketball staff in 2025-26. Head coach Fred Chmiel announced the addition of Robbins to his staff as Director of Player Personnel in June of 2025.
Robbins comes to BGSU from fellow Mid-American Conference member Western Michigan University.
“Emily is well versed in the sport of women’s basketball, the growth and care of student athletes and the day-to-day operations of a MAC University,” said Chmiel. “She will be a great asset to current and former student athletes.”
Prior to joining the Falcons, Robbins spent the previous four years in a full-time role at WMU after joining the women’s basketball staff in September of 2021. She was the Broncos’ director of operations, performing a plethora of day-to-day duties in that role.
“I’m incredibly grateful for my time at Western Michigan, where I learned and grew so much both personally and professionally,” said Robbins. “I’m excited to bring that experience with me as I begin this new chapter at Bowling Green, and want to thank Coach Chmiel for the opportunity and for his trust in me.”
Robbins has spent the bulk of the last six-plus years at WMU, her alma mater. She was a student manager for coach Shane Clipfell’s women’s basketball team from 2019-21 while finishing her undergraduate degree, and also worked in the Office of Resident Life as well as with the athletics facilities staff.
She completed an internship with the Kalamazoo Growlers, a summer collegiate baseball team, and also worked at the Kalamazoo Country Club.
Robbins, a Kalamazoo native, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Tourism and Travel Services Management from WMU in 2021, with a double minor in general business and event management.
