In his current role, Edmond has been influential in the redesign of multiple materials for his sports as well as growing each sport's social media footprint. Edmond completely rebuilt the men's basketball record book from the ground up, adding multiple sections including a statistical history of the program's NBA players. He also added sections to the volleyball record book, including breakdowns for records by era (Overall, Rally Scoring, Side Out) as well as various baseball record book additions statistically as well. Additionally, Edmond overhauled the print aspects of his primary sports, redesigning from scratch the game notes, roster sheets, seat tags, etc. to all match under the same design within each sport.
As for social media, Edmond has played a role in all of his sport coverage channels, including sole responsibility for the baseball social media pages. In January 2022, Edmond started the BGSU Baseball Instagram, which has returned the highest percentage follower growth among the department's various Instagram accounts each year since its creation. The most notable came in 2024, posting a 79.9-percent follower growth in the calendar year.Â
In addition to his sport responsibilities, Edmond oversees all the student volunteers with the BGSU Strategic Communications office. Since taking over oversight of the group, Edmond has increased the student work force from just a handful when he started to now consistently 15-20 students per semester. This includes scheduling office hours and event coverage, delegating office hour tasks and serving as the supervisor for all for-credit internships within the department.
Edmond previously served as an Intern with BGSU's Strategic Communications office, serving as the primary contact for volleyball, ice hockey and women's tennis, including a brief stint covering gymnastics before the season started.  As an intern, Edmond oversaw all day-to-day media relations for the aforementioned programs. This included producing the record book and game notes, facilitating interview requests for players and coaches, compiling statistics, running social media accounts and contributing to the official website of BGSU Athletics (BGSUFalcons.com).
A native of Tiffin, Ohio, Edmond graduated from BGSU in August of 2019 with a bachelor's degree in sport management and a journalism minor. He earned a Master's of Arts in December 2023 from BGSU in Strategic Communications and Social Media.Â
As a student at BGSU he served for two years as a student assistant with Athletic Communications, overseeing men's and women's cross country during the fall 2018 season, as well as swimming and diving and women's tennis in the spring of 2019.
Additionally, Edmond served as a summer assistant with Heidelberg University (Tiffin, Ohio) under Jeff Garvin in Athletic Marketing and Information in 2017, as a Media Relations Intern with the Toledo Mud Hens during the 2019 season and a member of the stat crew for the Columbus Destroyers in the Arena Football League in 2019. Edmond also worked Super Bowl LII (Minneapolis, Minn.) and Super Bowl LIII (Atlanta, Ga.) as a member of the Sport Management Alliance student group at BGSU.Â
Edmond is the third generation in his family to work in the field of Sports Information. His uncle, Ted, was a student assistant in the athletic training office at Kent State in the 1990s before becoming a teacher as well.Â
