Luna Castellanos joins the Bowling Green State University swimming and diving program as an assistant diving coach for the 2026-27 season.
Castellanos comes to Bowling Green after a decorated diving career at Pennsylvania Western University, Clarion, where she served as team captain during the 2025-26 season. An eight-time All-American and five-time national champion, she also earned Scholar All-American honors in 2024 and was named to the Academic All-District Team in both 2025 and 2026.
A double major in psychology and criminal justice, Castellanos graduated with a 3.6 GPA and was a repeat honoree at Clarion's Scholar Athlete Luncheon. Off the boards, she was heavily involved in campus leadership, serving on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, leading its social media crew and working as a social media assistant for the Clarion diving program throughout her career. She was also a member of the Pennwest Leadership Academy and Eagle Ambassadors.
Castellanos brings coaching experience of her own, having spent multiple summers as a volunteer coach with a club program in Texas and working as a youth diving and Learn to Swim and Dive instructor. Fluent in English and Spanish, she began her college career studying biology at Universidad Javeriana in Cali, Colombia, before transferring to Pennsylvania Western.
Castellanos joins Barton and the Falcons staff ahead of the 2026-27 season.
