Paul Senn, Jillian Halfhill and Richaun Holmes Make Highlight Of The Year Plays
Three times over the past year, BGSU student-athletes recorded a highlight play that finished in the top three of ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 plays. It started with Paul Senn's ridiculous blocked punt for a touchdown against Indiana when he took the football right off the punter's foot and never broke stride towards the end zone to earn the top play of the day.
Richaun Holmes followed that with a posterizing dunk over an Akron player in the Stroh Center in early February. Holmes, who is BGSU's career blocked shot leader, reached the No. 2 spot on the Top 10 list.
Finally, Jillian Halfhill joined the part during a WNIT game in late March when the senior point guard threw up an unconventional three-point attempt with the shot clock running down. The shot banked home in front of a raucous Stroh Center crowd.
Gymnastics Posts Top MAC Championship Result In 22 Years
The BGSU Gymnastics team finished third at the MAC Championships in March, the best finish for the program since 1991 and a result that showed the continued development of the program under head coach Kerrie Turner. Amanda Lievendag earned an individual championship on vault and was named MAC All-Tournament. Lauren Feely earned MAC Freshman of the Year honors and the Falcons sent three athletes to NCAA Regionals in Alyssa Nocella, Gina Locigno and Megan Harrington. READ THE FULL STORY

Travis Greene Breaks Single-Season Rushing Record
Entering the 2013 football season, running back was a major question mark. Enter converted wide receiver Travis Greene. The redshirt sophomore took the reins of the position and sprinted to a school-record 1,594 yards, breaking a mark that had stood since 1951 when Fred Durig rushed for 1,444 yards. Greene had a school-record nine 100-yard rushing games and posted a season-best 160 yards against UMass. Eight times he rushed for at least 125 yards. Greene was a part of three of the Top 10 plays released by the Athletics Department prior to the team's bowl game.
BGSU Adds Diving To Enhance Championship Profile
In September, the BGSU Athletics Department announced the establishment of diving to enhance the strength of a swimming program that is competing at a MAC Championship level. While the swimming program has finished third at the MAC Championships in each of the past two seasons, the program has been at a competitive disadvantage by not being able to score points in the diving events. Head coach Petra Martin, the 2013 MAC Coach of the Year, will oversee the full swimming and diving program moving forward. READ THE FULL STORY
