Ben Olson, a 2013 graduate of Eastern Illinois University, joins Dino Baber's staff at Bowling Green as a defensive graduate assistant in 2014. Olson, who served as an undergraduate student coach under Babers at EIU, also coached linebackers at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology during the 2013 season.
Rose-Hulman captured the 2013 HCAC Championship. Olson coached two All-HCAC linebackers. He was also integral in coaching the best kickoff coverage unit in all of Division III football. Olson gained valuable experience as the defensive coordinator for the junior varsity team at Rose-Hulman.
Olson, who played at Eastern Illinois from 2008-09, was a defensive lineman before being medically disqualified.
