Jaclyn Rosen will begin her second season with the Falcons, after a record-setting year alongside former fellow Bearcat, Matt Ense. Rosen joins the staff after spending a season at the University of Cincinnati.

Rosen joined the staff in September 2015, and quickly made an impact on the team. She continues to develop the program and uses her vast experience to help the team grow. In her first season at BGSU, she was a part of a record-setting team, breaking 10 school records, having two MAC Champions and having an NCAA National qualifier.

Rosen has vast experience in collegiate coaching, spending three seasons at San Jose State University prior to joining the coaching staff at Cincinnati. She swam collegiately at the University of Hawaii for four seasons, serving as a captain during both her junior and senior seasons.

"We are thrilled to have Coach Jaclyn Rosen join the Falcon swimming and diving program," Ense said. "Having worked for some great coaches in California before working at Cincinnati, Jaclyn brings with her a wealth of knowledge along with a ton of excitement and passion to help push our student athletes to reach higher than they have ever reached. She will help push the program to the next level."

During her time with the Bearcats' program, Rosen excelled in her role as assistant coach. She was responsible for all travel and recruiting trips, as well as hosting recruiting weekends for UC. In the pool, UC student-athletes excelled under Rosen during her lone season in Southwest Ohio. The 2014-15 season at UC saw two males win conference championships, the first time that had happened since 2010. Additionally, for the first time in 10 seasons a Cincinnati swimmer was an NCAA qualifier and All-American. Under Rosen, seven school records and three conference records fell, while 10 swims qualified under the NCAA 'B' standard.

A native of San Francisco, Calif., Rosen earned her masters of kinesiology in sport studies during her time on the coaching staff at SJSU. The Spartans compiled a 24-5 dual meet record while she was on staff, including two Western Athletic Conference (WAC) team championships and eight individual conference champions. During her time at SJSU, Rosen also served as the head swim coach of the Highlands Dolphins Aquatic Club for two years, directing a program of nearly 100 swimmers.

She also earned Outstanding Graduate Project Award for her masters' thesis titled, "What Division I Swim Coaches Look for in the Recruiting Process." Her research focused on the talent identification process, examining the behavioral and linguistic techniques used by the coaches as they look to identify the fit between a prospective student-athlete and a team.

During her time as a student-athlete at Hawaii, the Rainbow Wahine captured the WAC team title during her senior season. Rosen was also honored with the team's Most Inspirational Award. She also earned the Coach's Award in 2003-04. She received a bachelor's degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science, lifestyle management and leisure activity from Hawaii in 2006.

Rosen will begin her duties at Bowling Green immediately, as the season quickly approaches. The Falcon swimming & diving program kicks off the 2015-16 season on Friday, Oct. 2 at Cooper Pool with the Orange and Brown Intrasquad Meet.
