Falcons Men's Hoops Make It Look Easy

The Falcons broke on top early and made it look easy posting a 114-52 win over Urbana, an NAIA school. The win extended BG's home winning streak to seven games and broke a two-game overall losing skid.
Urbana scored the first field goal of the game before the Falcons scored 13 unanswered points to take a 13-2 lead at the 15:56 mark. A 9-2 run put BG ahead by a 22-4 count at the 13:58 mark, and their biggest advantage of the first half was the score at the break, 60-29.
BG scored 16 of the last 24 points of the half.
It was more of the same in the second half as BG scored 14 of the first 18 points to lead 74-33 at the 15:51 mark. The final margin, 62 points, was the biggest of the game.
Dave Esterkamp had 15 of his 19 points in the first half while Keith McLeod had 13 of his 19 in the first 20 minutes. Three other players also scored in double figures.
Bowling Green was credited with 31 assists, with Brandon Pardon and Graham Bunn both getting credit for nine, equalling the school record while their margin of victory was the most since a 61-point rout of MacMurray in 1973.
