Long-range shooting was the norm in the this game as both teams set school records for three-point field goals made and attempted, but Mississippi outscored the Falcons by a 32-21 margin in the second half to take the 80-63 victory. Ole Miss led, 48-42, at halftime.
BG was 14-of-34 from three-point range with Angie Farmer making half of those on her way to game scoring honors, tying a career high with 21 points. Farmer tied her own school single-game record with the seven successful treys.
Seven different Falcon players scored from beyond the arc. Mississippi was 17-of-41 from three-point range with a trio of players hitting four apiece.
Farmer was the only BG player to score in double figures for the Falcons as Francine Miller and Sherry Kahle were next with nine points each while Mississippi had five players in double figures.
Mississippi had a huge 51-31 edge on the boards with 23 of their rebounds at the offensive end.
