Falcons Men's Soccer Drop Conference Opener To Kentucky

The Bowling Green State University men's soccer squad (3-7-0) suffered its seventh straight defeat on Sunday falling to Kentucky (6-3-0, 2-0-0), 1-0 at Cochrane Field, in the Mid-American Conference opener for BG.
Kentucky had two shots on goal in a scoreless first half and added six more shots on goal in the second half. BG's lone shot on goal in the match came with 8:25 remaining off the foot of Jason Bryant.
UK's Todd Stonestreet chipped in a shot from 30-yards out at the 65:31 mark for the lone goal of the match.
BG goalkeeper Ty Fowler finished with seven saves, while Wildcat netminder Brian O'Leary had one stop.
The Falcons will try to snap its school-record losing streak on Friday when they entertain Bucknell at Cochrane Field with the match starting at 4:00 p.m.
