Falcons Blank Hilltoppers In BGSU Soccer Classic

The Bowling Green soccer team improved its 1999 record to 2-0 with a 1-0 win over Western Kentucky (1-1) in Saturday's second game of the 1999 BGSU Soccer Classic.
Senior Chris Dore notched his first goal of the season at 33:48 mark as he dribbled down the middle after taking a pass from junior Adam Erhard and beat Hilltopper goalkeeper Ryan Lossie.
Lossie was credited with six saves (three in each half), while BGSU goalkeeper Ty Fowler made four saves in recording his first collegiate shutout. BG attempted 15 shots to WKU's nine.
The Detroit Titans (1-1) won the day's first game by rallying from a 3-2 deficit at the half with two second half markers for a 4-3 triumph over the DePaul Blue Demons (0-1).
Detroit faces Western Kentucky at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at BGSU's Mickey Cochrane Field, while the BG Falcons face DePaul in the nightcap at 3:00 p.m.
