BG Hockey Team Falls 4-3

Omaha, NE - The Bowling Green hockey team was unable to rally from 4-0 deficit in falling to the University of Nebraska Omaha Mavericks 4-3 on Friday night.
UNO scored three times in the first period and added a power-play goal 3:20 into the middle stanza to take a 4-0 advantage. Dave Noel-Bernier opened the scoring 2:52 into the contest. Greg Zanon scored on a Maverick power play with a shot from the blueline. UNO completed its first period scoring with an even-strength goal by David Brisson with 10.3 seconds remaining.
BG goalie Tyler Masters was replaced by Shawn Timm after Jason Cupp's man-advantage marker early in the second period.
Craig Desjarlais scored a power-play goal at 6:27 of the middle period. Adam Edinger scored BG's final two goals in a span of 32 seconds late in the second period.
Masters finished with 12 saves, while Timm turned aside 14 Maverick shots. UNO netminder Kendall Sidoruk was credited with 31 saves.
BG went one-for-six with the man-advantage, while UNO scored on two of its eight power-play chances.
