Falcon Hockey Wins At Omaha

Omaha, NE - The Bowling Green hockey team scored three times in a five minute span during the first period and held off a Nebraska Omaha rally for a 3-2 victory Saturday night at the Omaha Civic Auditorium.
Sophomore defenseman Grady Moore scored BG's first two goals, sandwiched around David Brisson's second goal of the weekend.
Falcon junior left wing Ryan Murphy scored the game-winner at 13:17 of the opening period.
Brisson tallied his second of the contest 2:02 into the second period to complete the scoring.
BG goalie Shawn Timm made 28 saves, while Maverick goalies Rodney McLeod and Kendall Sidoruk combined for 26 saves.
The Falcons improved to 11-15 overall and 8-12 in the CCHA, while UNO falls to 10-13-5 overall and 8-9-5 in the CCHA.
