BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green men's tennis team moved to 10-6 on the dual-match season with a 7-0 win over visiting Dayton Saturday afternoon (April 1). The Falcons won every flight in the match, which was held at Keefe Courts on the BGSU campus.
Geoff Hiscox made his debut at the top singles flight, and the freshman defeated his UD opponent in straight sets. Senior Sonny Huynh garnered a win at the second singles level, while freshman Peter Gardonyi, junior Brandon Gabel, freshman Micael Lopez-Acevedo and sophomore Mike Kossoff won at flights three through six, respectively.
The top doubles team of Gabel and sophomore Vitek Wild won for the Brown and Orange, as did the other two tandems. Hiscox and Kossoff teamed for a win at the second level, while sophomore Ed Kuresman and freshman Nicolas Lopez-Acevedo were triumphant at the third flight.
The Falcons will return to action Friday (April 7), hosting Xavier in a non-conference dual match at Keefe Courts. Start time is 3:00 p.m.
