The Bowling Green State University baseball team completed its doubleheader sweep of Marshall with an 8-4 triumph in Saturday's second game at BG's Steller Field. The win gave Falcon head coach Danny Schmitz his 250th victory at Bowling Green.

The Falcons scored five times in the fifth inning to take an 8-4 advantage. Len Elias had a one-out single to start the rally. Following a walk to Kenny Burdine, Matt Marcum's single to left scored Ryan with the go ahead run with Burdine scoring on a throwing error by the Thundering Herd. Lee Morrison then smacked a 1-1 offering from Steve Fowler over the right centerfield fence to complete the scoring.
Craig Menke started for BG and allowed four runs (three earned) in 4.1 innings. Mike Muzi allowed four hits and no runs in two innings to earn his third win of the season. Ryan Streb retired two of the three batters he faced to garner his fourth save of the campaign.
