Bowling Green, OH -
Bowling Green fell a game behind Kent in the MAC East Division after a 10-5 loss to Miami in Sunday's second game. BG was within one strike of claiming its third victory on the weekend, but the RedHawks rallied with six runs on two hits and four BG errors in the seventh inning.
The Falcons went 2-1 in the first inning when Alan Gilhousen had a two-out single and moved to third on Sean Ryan's double. Both runners scored on a Miami error.
BG tallied two more runs the next frame. Lee Morrison singled, and after a fielder's choice Corey Loomis double. Aric Christman's two-run single to left scored Nick Elrod and Loomis.
The Falcons went ahead 5-3 in the fifth as Len Elias was hit by a pitch and Alan Gilhousen singled him to second. A fly out moved Elias to third and he scored on a RedHawk miscue.
Bowling Green had two outs in the seventh and two Miami runners on base when the roof caved in. A walk preceded a two-run single by Clark Mace to put Miami in front. After a pitching change, back-to-back fielding errors allowed two runs to score. A fielder's choice and a wild pitch brought home the final two RedHawk runs.
Brett Baumgartner pitched the first 5.1 innings and allowed four runs (three earned) with five strike outs. Chad Curlis allowed two walks and a hit in the four batters he faced, while Mike Muzi hurled one inning and was charged with four runs (two earned). Brad Henry recorded the final out, but allowed two unearned runs.

Miami has an overall record of 25-16, with a league mark of 9-7. The Falcons will host Wright State on Tuesday at 3 p.m., before visiting Oakland University on Wednesday.
