Binzel Named To All-MAC Second Team

Bowling Green State University freshman golfer Shelley Binzel (Dublin, OH/Coffman) has been selected to the 2000 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf All-League Second Team.
Binzel, who set the school single-season scoring record, becomes the first BGSU women's golfer to earn all-league accolades.
The first team consisted of Kent State's Jan Dowling (also MAC Golfer of the Year) and Cheryl Tooshkenig, Ohio's Julee Sovesky and Heather Fueger, and Eastern Michigan's Stephanie Smoot.
Joining Binzel on the second team were Kent's Veronique Drouin (also MAC Freshman of the Year), Heather Dobbin and Leigh Ann Griffin, and Ohio's Candace Artz.
Kent State's Mike Morrow was named MAC Coach of the Year, while Toledo's Katie Jordan was selected as Sportswoman of the Year.
