
Baseball Drops 11-10 Decision At Ohio

The Bowling Green baseball team lost an 11-10 decision in Sunday's first game at Ohio University as the Bobcats scored three times in the bottom of the seventh.
OU catcher Jeremy Johnson hit the first delivery from BG relief pitcher Ryan Streb over the center field fence with two runners on for the victory.
After falling behind 4-0 in the first inning, BG rallied to tie the game in the second as Lee Morrison doubled to begin the inning. Matt Marcum walked and Kenny Burdine singled to load the bases. Nick Elrod's double cleared the bases and Elrod scored on Corey Loomis' groundout to tie the game at four.
The Falcons rallied again after trailing 7-4 with a run in the fourth as Corey Loomis had a leadoff walk, moved to second when Alan Gilhousen was hit by a pitch and scored on Lee Morrison's single.
Bowling Green then went ahead 8-7 with three runs in the sixth inning. After the first batter struck out, Len Elias singled, stole second, and after a walk to Alan Gilhousen, moved to third on Lee Morrison's single. Matt Marcum's single scored Elias and Gilhousen with Morrison scoring the go-ahead run on a wild pitch.
The Bobcats tied the game in their half of the sixth on a single, walk, fielder's choice and a wild pitch.
In the top of the seventh, BG scored twice to take a 10-8 advantge. Sean Ryan drew a one-out walk and scored on Aric Christman's two-run blast over the center field fence.
In the bottom of the seventh, Jeff Rook had a leadoff walk and Andrew See singled setting up Jeremy Johnson's game-winning hit.
BG falls to 25-21-1 and 12-9 in the Mid-American Conference with its sixth consecutive league loss. Ohio improves to 27-19-1 overall and 16-7 in the MAC.
