Men's Track Signs Student-Athlete

Bowling Green State University head men's track coach Sterling Martin announced the signing of Jamal Salahuddin to a national letter of intent.
Salahuddin is a recent graduate of Lyndhurts Brush High School near Cleveland, Ohio. He recently won the Midwest Meet of Champions in the shot put with a throw of 61'07.75" and finished third at this year's Ohio Division I state meet in the shot put and discus. Jamal's season-best throws were 62'09" in the shot put and 188'00" in the discus.
Dean Coticchia of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, another recent BG signee, also captured a Midwest Meet of Champions title in the men's high jump with a jump of 7'00".
Both student-athletes will be freshmen at BGSU this August.
