Men's Golf Finishes Sixth At Hawkeye Intercollegiate

The Bowling Green State University men's golf team finished sixth out of 12 teams at the 2000 Hawkeye Intercollegiate held this past Saturday and Sunday in Iowa City, Iowa at the Finkbine Golf Course.
The Falcons were led by senior Jon Smarrelli (New Castle, Penn./Neshannock) who tied-for-13th with a 54-hole total of 223(77-72-74). Sophomore Adam Balls (Woodstock, Ontario/College Avenue Secondary School) tied-for-17th with a 224 (76-72-76), while junior Brian Gerken (Napoleon, Ohio/Napoleon) tied-for-31st with a 229 (76-75-78).
BG will be idle until Oct. 9-10 when the Falcons (both men's and women's teams) participate in the Austin Peay Precept Invitational in Clarksville, Tennesse.
