LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Bowling Green State University women's tennis team begins play in its third tournament of the fall season Friday (Oct. 19). The Falcons are in Louisville, Ky., for the Louisville Invitational Tournament. The three-day tournament (Oct. 19-21) will be half at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
A total of 13 teams are scheduled to compete in the tournament, which will consist of three flights of singles and two flights of doubles. In addition to the Falcons, three other MAC schools -- Eastern Michigan, Miami and Toledo -- are scheduled to compete.
Other schools scheduled to play in the tourney include Charlotte, Cincinnati, Indiana State, Southern Illinois, UT-Chattanooga, UT-Martin, Wisconsin and Xavier, in addition to host Louisville.
Following this weekend's action, the Falcons of head coach Penny Dean will have just one fall tournament remaining -- the MAC Fall Indoor in Kalamazoo, Mich., on Nov. 9-11.
