Hoover Sets School Record at Duke Twilight

DURHAM, N.C. — Set against some of the best talent in the country, Bowling Green held its own at the Duke Twilight on Sunday. There, the Falcons posted impressive finishes in the 800 meters and 1500 meters.
The night opened with a school record. Rachael Hoover set a program record in the 800m with a time of 2:05.01, placing 11th overall. The mark leads the Mid-American Conference this season and is the second-fastest by a MAC athlete since at least 2013. Reese Reaman also had a strong showing, running a personal-best 2:08.67 to hold fourth place on the program's all-time list.
The night closed with the 1500m, where Kylee Cubbison finished seventh in a field of 79. Her time of 4:15.48 was less than a second off her personal best.
The Falcons return to action Wednesday at the Hillsdale Last Chance Meet in Michigan.
