
Falcon Gymnastics Edges Ball State

Bowling Green, OH - Bowling Green State University's women's gymnastics team improved to 6-5 overall and 3-1 in the Mid-American Conference with a close win over Ball State in a meet held at BGSU's Eppler Center. The Falcons outscored the Cardinals by a 195.950-195.475 margin, establishing a new school record in total team score for the fourth time this season.
Junior Marny Oestreng (Trogstad, Norway) won three events and sophomore Ann Marie Kassouf (Middleburg Heights, OH) won one and tied for top honors in the all-around in the final home meet of the season for the Falcons. Oestreng won the vault (9.950), bars (9.850) and floor (9.875) for the second consecutive meet while Kassouf won the all-around in her first attempt of the season and also took first in the beam (9.900). The Falcons return to action with two meets on the road. Friday the Falcons travel to Ypsilanti, MI to battle MAC foe Eastern Michigan, with a Sunday match against Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant.
