Big Rapids, Michigan - The Falcon hockey team was shutout at Ferris State Saturday by at 3-0 margin. Bowling Green remains in a tie with Notre Dame for the 10th playoff spot in the CCHA with 15 points.
Ferris State's Jason Basile and Rob Lightfoot each scored goals in the second period. The Bulldogs added an empty net marker in the waning seconds of the game to seal the win.
Bowling Green's record currently stands at 10-17-5 (5-14-5 CCHA). The Falcons head home to the BGSU Ice Arena for the first time in two weeks to square off against the Broncos of Western Michigan February 23-24. Faceoff is scheduled for 7:05 each night.
