
Women's Tennis Falls To Cincinnati

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University women's tennis team suffered a narrow 4-3 loss to the University of Cincinnati in Friday action (Feb. 9), falling to 1-3 on the year. The non-conference dual match was held at Shadow Valley in Toledo.
Each team captured three of the six singles flights, but the visiting Bearcats took the doubles point by winning two of the three matches.
At the top flight, BGSU senior Meghan Rhodes captured a straight-sets victory over Lyndsey Molony. Classmate Erika Wasilewski was victorious at the fourth singles flight, while freshman Lisa Maloney vanquished her UC foe at the fifth level.
In doubles, the Falcons' lone winning team came at the second flight, where Wasilewski and Maloney combined for the win.
The Falcons return to action Saturday (Feb. 10), with a road match against Michigan State University. Action is scheduled to get underway at 3:00 p.m.
