EAST LANSING, Mich. - For the second time in as many days, the Bowling Green State University women's tennis team lost by the narrowest of margins. This time, the Falcons fell by a 4-3 count at Michigan State University on Saturday (Feb. 10) afternoon.
The Falcons, now 1-4 in dual play this year, captured the doubles point, as the top team of senior Abby Bratton and junior Devon Bissinger posted an 8-1 win, while the third-flight duo of senior Meghan Rhodes and freshman Gaby Coello won by an 8-3 score.
In singles action, however, the host Spartans won four of the six flights to claim the match. BG's lone singles winners were Bratton at the second level and senior Erika Wasilewski at the third flight, both in straight sets.
The Falcons will return to action on Feb. 17 with a trip to the Windy City to face the University of Illinois at Chicago. The following day, BGSU will meet DePaul University.
