Homestead, Florida - The Bowling Green State University baseball team won its second game in as many days Friday, improving to 8-2 on the young season with a 10-4 win over Bradley. The game was part of the Homestead Challenge during the Falcons' spring trip.
Senior Craig Menke (Delphos, OH) did the job on the mound for the Falcons, improving his record to 2-1 with eight innings of stellar work. Menke allowed just one earned one, while striking out seven Bradley batters along the way.
Offensively, junior Len Elias (Mississauga, Ontario) and sophomore Kelly Hunt (Bowling Green, OH) led the way for the Falcons. Elias went three for five at the plate while Hunt went two for five, with a double and three RBI for the victors.
The Falcons conclude play in Homestead Saturday with a 10:00 a.m. matchup against Harvard.
