ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - The Bowling Green State University men's tennis team won for the second time on Saturday (March 24), posting a 5-2 win over host St. Bonaventure University in a non-league match.

BGSU captured four of the six singles matches and all three doubles contests. At the top flight, junior Vitek Wild led SBU's Vili Nurmi by a 4-3 count in the first set, but was forced to retire.

Junior Mike Kossoff won a three-set contest at the fourth flight, downing Mark Gorski by an 11-9 count in a third-set tiebreaker.
Senior Brandon Gabel was defeated by the Bonnies' Markus Arvaja in a three-set match at the fifth level, while sophomore Micael Lopez-Acevedo was a winner at the final singles flight. After he and SBU's Drew Crawford split the first two sets, Lopez-Acevedo won a 10-3 tiebreaker.
Wild and Kossoff teamed for an 8-4 win at the top flight, while Gabel and Hiscox posted a 9-7 victory at the second level. The Falcons' victorious third-flight team consisted of Nicolas Lopez-Acevedo and freshman Nick Moxley.
The Brown and Orange will return to action next Saturday (March 31) with a match at Western Michigan University. That contest is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. in Kalamazoo, Mich.
Following that WMU match, the Falcons of head coach Jay Harris will begin a six-match homestand with an April 7 contest vs. the arch-rival University of Toledo.
