KNOXVILLE, Tennessee - Six members of the Bowling Green men's track and field team were in action at the Sea Ray Relays on Friday. They were Freshman Jamal Salahuddin, Sophomore Zerian Peterson, Juniors Austin Chapin and Tom Kutter, and Seniors Dan Corleto and Kreg Hatfield.
Peterson ran the 400 meter dash, and won his race in a time of 47.22. However, that time was only good enough to place him 10th overall. Chapin competed in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. His time of 9:35.78 earned him a 20th place finish. Kutter ran the 5,000 meter race in 14:58.54 to finish 16th. Corleto competed in the discus and finished 9th with a throw of 156 feet 9 inches. Hatfield ran the 1,500 meter run. He finished 38th with a time of 3:56.51. Salahuddin was competing in the shot put, but fouled.
Three Falcon relay teams are slated to compete on Saturday.
