BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's tennis team captured victories at every singles and doubles flight, posting a 7-0 win over Robert Morris College. The Sunday (April 8) non-league dual match was held at Keefe Courts.
Only one singles flight required three sets as the Falcons improved to 14-8 on the year in dual matches.
Sophomore Nicolas Lopez-Acevedo dispatched of RMC's John Hollis by a 6-2, 7-6 score at the top flight, while junior Ed Kuresman rallied after losing the first set by a 6-0 count for a victory over Mamoun El Kettani at the second level.
BGSU's other singles winners included sophomore Peter Gardonyi, freshman Nick Moxley, sophomore Micael Lopez-Acevedo and junior Mike Kossoff at the third through sixth flights, respectively. Kossoff did not lose a game, while Lopez-Acevedo dropped just one game in his win.
BGSU's doubles teams included juniors Kuresman and Vitek Wild at the top flight, sophomore Geoff Hiscox and senior Brandon Gabel at the middle level and Micael Lopez-Acevedo and Gardonyi at the third flight.
The Falcons were scheduled to return to the courts Sunday afternoon to take on Cleveland State University.
