Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University baseball team picked up its third straight victory over visiting Buffalo, 14-1, in a game which was suspended Saturday and resumed Sunday afternoon. The Falcons were leading the Bulls, 11-1 in the bottom of the eighth when severe weather forced the umpires to halt play.
Freshman LHP Neil Schmitz had a no-hitter for seven innings until the Bulls Corey Blair homered to lead off the eighth. He pitched eight innings and struck out five in earning his first collegiate victory.
BGSU had home runs from Aric Christman, Corey Loomis, Tim Newell, Len Elias, Andy Hudak, and Kelly Hunt.
Christman had four hits to lead BGSU, Loomis added three hits and Newell, Hudak, and Scott Dukate added two hits apiece.
